Ocular Disease

What are Ocular Diseases? Ocular diseases refer to disorders related to the eye. They may affect any part of the eye, including:

  • Eyelids
  • Sclera
  • Conjunctiva
  • Mebomian glands
  • Lacrimal glands 
  • Cornea
  • Iris
  • Aqueous humor
  • Lens
  • Retina 
  • Vitreous humor
  • Optic nerve
  • Ciliary Muscles
  • Uvea

 

Ocular diseases commonly present with changes in vision, pain in the eye, or redness of the eyes.

  • Macular degeneration
  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Myopia
  • Amblyopia
  • Cataracts
  • Dry eye disease
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Scleritis
