Precision Medicine

What is Precision Medicine? Precision medicine involves the use of advanced technologies, especially leveraging the various omic fields, to identify specific molecular targets and pathways that are involved in disease. By understanding the underlying mechanisms of disease at the molecular level, precision medicine aims to develop more targeted therapies that are tailored to the specific characteristics of a patient's disease.

Advantages of Precision Medicine

  • Identification of molecular targets for drug development
  • Improved treatment outcomes
  • Increased accuracy of diagnoses and prediction of disease development
  • Mitigation of side effects
  • Increased efficacy and reduction in the cost of clinical trials
