Double Chin

Double chin, also known as submental fat, is the accumulation of adipose tissue in the submental space. There are several factors involved in the development of a double chin, including genetic predisposition, age, lifestyle, and diet. While weight gain contributes to the double chin, those who are slim may also develop them because of skin laxity with aging and fluctuations in weight.

Noninvasive and surgical treatment options for double chins that persist even with weight loss through diet and exercise:

  • Cryoliposis
  • Deoxycholic acid injections
  • Radiofrequency – assisting contouring
  • Submental liposuction
  • Facelift
  • Neck lift
