Mechanism Of Action | Alpha-glucosidase enzymes are located in the brush-border of the intestinal mucosa and serve to metabolize oligo-, tri-, and disaccharides (e. g. sucrose) into smaller monosaccharides (e. g. glucose, fructose) which are more readily absorbed. |
