We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Adam Plotkin and Dr. Matthew Uhde as the newest investigators in the Vial network. The Palm Beach Dermatology clinical research team brings over 15 years of clinical research experience that spans leading indications in Dermatology. With the addition of Palm Beach Dermatology, in Delray Beach, FL, Vial adds highly respected, experienced Dermatology investigators with an expansive space to conduct clinical research and an engaged patient panel.
The Palm Beach Dermatology team has supported and operated trials in Atopic Dermatitis, Melanoma, Vitiligo, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, Rosacea, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Pruritus (itch), Prurigo Nodularis, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Psoriasis Acne and many Aesthetics indications. The research has support trials run by large and small sponsors including Galderma, Arcutis, Valeant, Dermavant, Adelphi, Sun Pharma, AOBiome, Celgene and many others.

The clinical research partnership at Palm Beach Dermatology is lead by Shameika Parks, site director. Shameika was previously Clinical Research Coordinator ICON Dermatology & Aesthetics in Bethesda, MD and spent 5 years as Clinical Research Coordinator at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University

Background
Dr. Adam S. Plotkin is a board certified Dermatologist originally from New York. Dr. Plotkin studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed post-graduate training in internal medicine at Brown University Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and dermatology training at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.
Dr. Plotkin is a member of American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is a member of and past president of the Palm Beach County Society for Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.
Dr. Matthew Uhde is a board certified Dermatologist. Dr. Uhde trained at the JFK Medical Center in internal medicine and completed his dermatology residency at West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. He served as chief resident for both his internal medicine and dermatology programs. Dr. Uhde has dual board certifications by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Uhde has presented posters, given lectures and published articles on various dermatology topics and research within the professional medical community. He has received numerous awards and recognition throughout his medical school and postgraduate years including the NOVA Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean’s Community Award and introduction into the Sigma Sigma Phi, Psi Sigma Alpha and the Gold Humanism honor societies.
