We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Adam Plotkin and Dr. Matthew Uhde as the newest investigators in the Vial network. The Palm Beach Dermatology clinical research team brings over 15 years of clinical research experience that spans leading indications in Dermatology. With the addition of Palm Beach Dermatology, in Delray Beach, FL, Vial adds highly respected, experienced Dermatology investigators with an expansive space to conduct clinical research and an engaged patient panel.
The Palm Beach Dermatology team has supported and operated trials in Atopic Dermatitis, Melanoma, Vitiligo, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, Rosacea, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Pruritus (itch), Prurigo Nodularis, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Psoriasis Acne and many Aesthetics indications. The research has support trials run by large and small sponsors including Galderma, Arcutis, Valeant, Dermavant, Adelphi, Sun Pharma, AOBiome, Celgene and many others.
“With Vial, we get access to a platform to help us scale our clinical trial operation. It is hard to dedicate the time to monitoring and testing new patient recruiting initiatives when you are running your clinic and are starved for time. I’ve been impressed by the Clinical Operations leadership at Vial – for us, their model resonated and we are excited to partner together” said Dr. Adam Plotkin.
The clinical research partnership at Palm Beach Dermatology is lead by Shameika Parks, site director. Shameika was previously Clinical Research Coordinator ICON Dermatology & Aesthetics in Bethesda, MD and spent 5 years as Clinical Research Coordinator at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University
Dr. Matthew Uhde shared: “With Vial, we can refocus on patients and the patient experience. I’m looking forward to partnering and taking our clinical operations to the next level”.
The partnership is overseen by Vial’s Head of Dermatology Justin Withers, “Dr. Plotkin and Dr. Uhde are proven, strong clinical investigators and we are excited to help scale their clinical operation by investing in bringing the site more trials, increasing patient recruiting through our centralized patient recruiting efforts and supporting the growth of the site by driving hiring and investing in space.”.
