Janet DuBois earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Smith College. She attended the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Internship, Dermatology Residency, and Dermatology Chief Residency at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. She is a former member of the Medical Staff at Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound (now part of Kaiser Permanente) in Seattle Washington at which time she also served as a Clinical Instructor in the Dermatology Division of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Washington. After relocating to Austin TX in 1994, she established a successful Dermatology practice in which she worked for over 25 years. She is past Chief of Dermatology for the Seton Healthcare System (now part of Ascension), and past Clinical Instructor in the Internal Medicine Department at Seton.
Dr. DuBois joined DermResearch in 2001 and ultimately assumed co-ownership in 2018. She leads a top rate clinical research practice/PK site, conducting Dermatology trials in Phases I through IV. Dr. DuBois has been PI on well over 200 studies for multiple indications including acne, actinic keratosis, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia, atopic dermatitis, cosmetics (neurotoxins, fillers, lipolysis, cellulite), hand eczema, hyperhidrosis (both axillary and palmar), keloids, molluscum contagiosum, onychomycosis, psoriasis, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, seborrheic keratosis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, vitiligo, warts, and rare diseases such as Gorlin Sydrome, Neurofibromatosis, and Pachyonychia Congenita. In addition, her experience extends to healthy volunteers, HPA Axis, and pharmacokinetic studies. She brings to Vial years of experience and high standards for quality and excellence in clinical research.
